Hi, I’m Dr. Talisa Arroyo.
SLP • Educator • Mom • Entrepreneur
I’m a speech‑language pathologist, parent coach, and early childhood advocate with over 15 years of experience supporting children, families, and school teams. My work blends evidence‑based practice with real‑life practicality — because communication doesn’t happen in a clinic, it happens in everyday moments.
I knew I wanted to be an SLP when I was nine years old. My younger brother is autistic, and watching him learn to communicate changed the entire trajectory of my life. That early experience shaped my passion for child development, family support, and collaborative care.
Since then, I’ve worked in public schools, early childhood programs, and private practice — always with the same mission: to make communication support feel simple, human, and accessible.
My StoryWhere Practice Meets Passion
The Head
I hold a Doctorate in Professional Leadership from the University of Houston, where my research focused on systems‑level challenges in education and improving collaboration between SLPs and teachers.
The Hand
With years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, I bring practical tools, clinical insight, and a hands-on approach to supporting communication and connection.
The Heart
As a mom of two and sister of autistic brother, my work is deeply personal. These roles ground me in empathy, connection, and the lived experiences that shape how I show up for others.
My Three Branches of Work
Let’s Talk Speech
Professional development, presenting, coaching, and consulting for conferences, universities, school districts, and private practices. I help teams strengthen their communication systems through evidence‑based training and collaborative support.
SLPMomTalk
A warm, supportive space for parents to learn practical, real‑life language strategies. Through coaching and community, families gain confidence in helping their children communicate and connect.
Lingo Liftoff
A play‑based language enrichment program designed for daycares, preschools, and Montessori schools. We bring early communication support directly into classrooms through engaging, developmentally aligned lessons.
I believe communication is connection — and every child deserves the chance to be understood. I also believe parents and educators deserve support that feels doable, not overwhelming.
My work is rooted in:
evidence‑based practice
cultural responsiveness
collaboration
real‑life practicality
compassion
Whether I’m training a district team, coaching a parent, or supporting a preschool classroom, my goal is always the same: to make communication support feel accessible and empowering.
